hey, try creating a file or folder with the filename, or extension being any of the following: CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM0, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT0, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9 |

Thats cute, windows automatically changes it back to the previous folder name. Those domineering programmers |

Yes, all in the sake of backwards compability to DOS days where there were shortcut "files" which pointed to physical devices (i.e. a printer) so that a program could "save" something but have the output actually run to the printer. A bit f-ed up, possibly, to still reserve those filenames after all these years. |
